Chef de Partie

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Belper, Derbyshire DE56 4AN.

About Us

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

Role Overview

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:30am until 3pm.

We're looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team, preparing fresh, seasonal food for around 160 customers each day. Working alongside the Chef Manager and Head Chef, you'll help deliver a varied food offer including light breakfast options, a vibrant lunchtime counter service and hot and cold hospitality, using quality ingredients to create handcrafted dishes inspired by both local and world cuisine.

Our lunch service features freshly prepared hot meals, made-to-order sandwiches, build-your-own salad bowls, jacket potatoes, homemade soups and breads, alongside an impressive selection of desserts and cakes. Working as part of a team of eight, you'll play an important role in food preparation, menu delivery, stock control and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You'll also have the opportunity to support a range of hospitality events throughout the year, with only occasional evening or weekend events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
