Mission
As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your designated kitchen section, ensuring every dish is prepared and presented to the highest culinary standards expected at STK London. Working closely with the Executive Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience while maintaining consistency, food safety, operational excellence, and the premium quality synonymous with the STK brand.
Key Responsibilities – Operational Excellence
- Manage your designated kitchen section, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Prepare, cook and present dishes in line with STK recipes, specifications and brand standards.
- Ensure mise en place is completed efficiently and service is delivered smoothly during busy periods.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, stock rotation (FIFO) and minimise waste.
- Maintain excellent HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Prepare daily requisitions and communicate stock requirements to senior chefs.
- Support menu development by contributing ideas for seasonal dishes and daily specials.
- Train, mentor and support Commis Chefs and junior members of the kitchen brigade.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained correctly.
- Work collaboratively with Front of House and other departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position within a premium restaurant, steakhouse, or 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Professional culinary qualification or recognised cooking certification.
- Strong knowledge of classical cooking techniques, food preparation and presentation.
- Experience working with premium meat products and grill cooking is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Experience supervising and supporting junior kitchen team members.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and perform effectively within a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Passion for delivering exceptional food and memorable guest experiences.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
