Kwackers is a dynamic street food business founded in 2014 from a passion for creating and sharing great food. Role Description

The Chef De Partie will work full time on-site in Southampton, supporting the kitchen team in preparing and cooking high-quality street food for events and daily operations.

  • Managing a designated section of the kitchen
  • Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
  • Following recipes and brand standards
  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
  • Organizing mise en place
  • Assisting with stock control and waste reduction
  • Collaborating closely with the Head Chef and wider team
  • Helping train junior staff
  • Contributing to menu improvement and service efficiency

This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical cooking skills, including experience managing a kitchen section and delivering consistent food quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, especially during events and peak service times.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to support and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Relevant culinary training or professional kitchen experience in street food, casual dining, or event catering.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and festivals, and reliable availability for on-site work in Southampton.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and section management.
  • Passion for street food, creativity in flavor and presentation, and willingness to contribute ideas to menu development.
