The Role
We are on the lookout for a skilled and creative Chef de Partie to join the kitchen brigade at Town, one of London's most talked-about openings and a restaurant that has earned five-star reviews from the country's leading food critics.
Since opening on Drury Lane, Town has been described as "unmissable" and awarded five stars by Grace Dent in The Guardian, and hailed as "an instant London classic" in Tom Parker Bowles' five-star review for You Magazine. The Spectator went further still, calling it "as good as food gets in London".
At the helm is Stevie Parle, one of the most respected chefs of his generation and a cook known for his obsessive focus on suppliers, seasonality and produce-led cooking. This is a rare chance to learn directly within a kitchen shaped by his standards.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, taking charge of a specific section and ensuring every dish leaves the pass to the highest standard. You will work with exceptional ingredients, at pace, in a busy and ambitious kitchen — and you will have genuine scope to develop your craft under the guidance of our senior chefs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
