Our Chef de Partie Role
We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team. You’ll be passionate about good food and have the opportunity to work across two of our thriving kitchens, learning from our exceptional Head Chef.
There’s the Living Space – for easy lakeside eating, meeting and lounging – and our Rampsbeck Restaurant, inspired by the region’s produce – with dishes that showcase heritage ingredients and flavours rooted in place, expressed with contemporary flair.
You’ll bring culinary passion, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail to the team, whilst supporting the creation of innovative menus and kitchen operations. You’ll ensure top-notch food quality with your culinary finesse and unwavering team commitment, delivering extraordinary dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities
As our Chef de Partie you’ll be:
- Assisting our Executive Chef and Head Chef in the effective and efficient organisation, supervision and control of the kitchen operation, ensuring all kitchen staff carry out their allotted duties to the Hotels standards.
- Carrying out the preparation, cooking and portioning of all food dishes including staff meals to the Hotels standards of quality and quantity.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen areas and beyond.
- Complying with all instructions given by immediate supervisor.
- Preparing for business in accordance with projected needs.
- Following all schedules within the kitchen and completion of daily check sheets and temperature logs.
- Assisting colleagues in stocking up when necessary.
- Contributing to the smooth running of all aspects of the kitchen and back of house areas.
- Undertaking the many tasks associated with the preparation, storage and service of food.
- Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Maintaining an organised, clean and safe workplace, not only for yourself but also for those around.
Skills
The skills you’ll be sharing with us:
- Food Hygiene certificate/training
- NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent as a minimum
- Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns
- Knowledge of ingredients and the ability to use them in a creative way
- Interest and passion for the food industry
- Previous experience of working in busy kitchen
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Previous experience in a similar establishment
- Be able to run the pass at all service times successfully
- Keen to develop and eager to learn
- Professional personal presentation
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Belief in being a team player
- Ensure effective stock rotation of all products to avoid unnecessary waste
- Excellent time management skills
- A team player
