Chef de Partie | Another Place, The Lake | 45 hours per week

Our Chef de Partie Role:
We're looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
Working across both The Living Space and our Rampsbeck Restaurant, you'll take ownership of your section, delivering exceptional dishes whilst helping to maintain the high standards our guests expect. You'll work closely with our Executive Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chefs, contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen and supporting the development of junior team members.

This is a full-time position working 45 hours per week.
As our Chef de Partie you'll:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your kitchen section, ensuring food is prepared and presented to consistently high standards.
- Support our Executive Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the organisation and smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Prepare, cook and portion dishes, including team meals, in line with our quality and presentation standards.
- Lead your section throughout service, ensuring efficient, organised and consistent delivery.
- Prepare your section in line with forecasted business levels and service requirements.
- Monitor food quality, stock rotation and storage in line with food safety regulations.
- Complete daily kitchen records, including temperature logs and check sheets.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Support stock replenishment and minimise waste through effective stock rotation.
- Assist with all aspects of food preparation, storage and service.
- Help create a positive, collaborative kitchen culture by supporting and guiding junior chefs.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues promptly.

What we're looking for:
You'll be an experienced chef who enjoys leading by example and thrives in a busy, professional kitchen. You'll take pride in producing exceptional food whilst supporting an energetic kitchen team deliver outstanding service.
You'll also bring:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen.
- Confidence in running your section and leading service.
- A passion for great food and the hospitality industry.
- Creativity and excellent knowledge of quality ingredients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
- Professional presentation and excellent personal hygiene.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery.
- NVQ Level 1 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
