Chef de Partie

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our conference venues in Birmingham B4 7ET.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days. You'll work a variety of shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 9:30pm, including 6:00am to 2:30pm, 7:00am to 3:30pm, 10:00am to 6:30pm, 11:00am to 7:30pm, and 1:00pm to 9:30pm.

We are looking for a driven, passionate and focused Chef de Partie to join our friendly and supportive kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen while learning from experienced chefs and visiting guest chefs.

Our kitchen delivers a varied food offer throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also cater for a wide range of events, from private dining for 10 to 220 guests and BBQs for 40 to 200 guests, to buffet lunches for up to 300 people. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience across a diverse range of menus, cooking styles and service formats.

Working alongside our talented team, you'll receive ongoing support and development across every section of the kitchen. As your confidence and knowledge grow, you'll take ownership of your own section during service, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards while delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. We also offer training courses, event days and opportunities to learn from visiting chefs, helping you continue to develop and progress your career.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality food to company standards.
  • Take ownership of your section during service, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Support the delivery of breakfast, lunch, dinner and hospitality events.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Skills

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
  • Good knife skills and sound culinary knowledge.
  • Passion for fresh food and high-quality service.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
