Chef de Partie Opportunity at Thorpe Park

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Chef de Partie at Thorpe Park. In this role, you will support the culinary team in producing and presenting high-quality food across the site, with a primary focus on catering for hotel guests in one of our main restaurants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking delicious food for our hotel guests
  • Having full knowledge of all menu items served
  • Monitoring portion and wastage control to maintain profit margins
  • Supporting the development of Commis Chefs
  • Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
  • Work collaboratively with fellow chefs to maintain food levels, food quality, and brand standards
  • Management of production and food levels to ensure minimum wastage
  • Maintaining high food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Working with fellow chefs to ensure all opening and closing shift checklists are completed

The Ideal Chef de Partie

  • Experience working within a restaurant, pub kitchen, theme park, or leisure setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both peers and management
  • Be able to remain calm under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate a proactive, can-do approach while supporting colleagues and contributing to team success
  • A valid Food Safety Level 2 qualification or above is essential
  • Due to the nature of the business, flexibility is required. This will include some weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
