We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in North Hykeham LN6 3QX.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 6:30am until 3pm. This role offers a fantastic work-life balance, on site parking, and a complimentary meal every shift.
About Us
Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.
Our workplace restaurant and kitchen have recently undergone an exciting renovation, creating a vibrant and immersive working and dining environment for our catering team of 11 and around 500 guests. As Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your own section and play an important role in producing fresh breakfast and lunch menus, creating exciting street food style dishes from scratch using quality ingredients. All food is prepared fresh on site, so a strong background in fresh food is essential. Alongside our newly renovated space, we are also looking to elevate our hospitality offer, including working lunches and other hospitality services. We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable Chef de Partie to join our friendly and hardworking team. In return, we can offer excellent training, development and career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
