About The Twenty Two
Behind a Georgian door on Grosvenor Square, The Twenty Two brings together a private members club, 31 bedrooms and suites, a night club and a restaurant open to members and to the public. Our members return week after week, which means the standard has to be the same every service. It is a demanding kitchen, and a rewarding one for chefs who take that seriously.
The Role
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to run their section through every service, deliver consistent quality under pressure, and help develop the Commis Chefs working alongside you.
This will suit a chef who is already confident on a section in a quality kitchen and who is looking for the next step. We promote from within wherever we can, and we will invest in your development to make that possible.
What you will be doing
- Running your section through every service, from mise en place to handover
- Preparing and presenting dishes precisely to the Head Chef's recipes and specifications
- Cooking across the restaurant, members offer, private dining and events, so that no two weeks are quite the same
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP records, temperature logs, allergen controls and cleaning schedules
- Managing stock rotation, ordering support and waste control
- Contributing ideas to menu development and seasonal changes
- Covering other sections and deputising for the Sous Chef when required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
