Chef de Partie (Commis Chef Applications Also Welcome)

Location: North Cotswolds (OX15 5BB)
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week
Shifts: Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and flexible shift patterns

Our client is a destination in the North Cotswolds with a strong reputation for golf, food, and overnight accommodation. Following significant investment, the business now includes a restaurant and bar, hotel accommodation, and an award-worthy golf course.

Their aim is to deliver a high-quality dining experience that is open to everyone, from hotel guests and visiting golfers to the local community and beyond. They are committed to supporting their employees, creating a positive work-life balance, and delivering exceptional experiences for guests.

They are seeking a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team. They are also happy to consider ambitious Commis Chefs looking to progress their culinary career.

The Role

Working alongside the Head Chef, Executive Head Chef, and Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver exceptional food using high-quality local and seasonal ingredients. This role requires energy, confidence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver dishes to the highest standards during service
  • Ensure all food preparation is completed efficiently and on time
  • Maintain responsibility for your section and ensure it is organised and clean at all times
  • Understand menu specifications and consistently produce dishes to the required standard
  • Assist with menu development and preparation where required
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of dietary requirements and food preferences
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, stepping up when required to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Champion Feldon Valley's sustainability values, local suppliers, and homegrown produce
  • Lead by example and contribute positively to the kitchen team culture
  • Work flexibly across evenings, weekends, and busy service periods

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably to a Rosette standard
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure without compromising standards
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Good spoken English
  • Excellent food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Calm and professional approach during busy service periods
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and strong plate presentation skills
  • Honest, reliable, and eager to learn and develop
  • Passion for food and hospitality
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check if required
