Job Description

Chef de Partie

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £33,938 per annum

We are recruiting for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join a professional kitchen team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who takes pride in producing high-quality food, enjoys working across all sections of the kitchen and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency and portion control.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your assigned kitchen section, including stock ordering and stock control.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards at all times, ensuring compliance with allergen legislation.
  • Support the development of menus and contribute ideas to improve products and services.
  • Supervise, support, and train junior chefs while promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery, with Level 3 being advantageous.
  • Has previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
  • Is confident working across all kitchen sections and has a genuine passion for producing high-quality food.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Is flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with business requirements.

In return, you will receive a salary of £33,938 per annum, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with any additional hours worked claimed as time off in lieu.
