Chef de Partie – The Fife Arms, Braemar
Opportunities available in The Flying Stag Pub, The Clunie Dining Room, or Breakfast, depending on experience.
The Fife Arms Hotel—located in the heart of Braemar and the Cairngorms National Park—is delighted to be recruiting a talented and passionate Chefs de Partie to join our award-winning culinary team.
We welcome guests from around the world and from our local community, offering them the very best of locally sourced, seasonal Scottish produce. Our dining experiences include:
- The Clunie Dining Room, showcasing open wood-fire cooking
- The Flying Stag Pub, serving pub classics and hearty Scottish favourites
- Breakfast service, delivering an exceptional start to each guest’s day
- Seasonal pop-up concepts in our Fog House and courtyard
Depending on your experience and skillset, your role may be based in The Flying Stag Pub, The Clunie Dining Room, or within our Breakfast team.
About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen brigade—preparing for service, working closely with our Sous Chefs and Head Chef, and contributing to the smooth running of your section.
You’ll work under the mentorship of Executive Chef Chris Niven, gaining experience across different sections and further developing your culinary abilities in a world-class kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of your allocated section under the guidance of a Sous Chef
- Ensuring all dishes meet the exceptional standards expected at The Fife Arms
- Maintaining high levels of consistency, quality, and organisation
- Providing feedback to the Head Chef and Executive Chef when relevant
- Assisting other sections as needed to support the wider brigade
- Upholding excellent hygiene, stock control, and food safety standards
You will work alongside a passionate, creative, and supportive team dedicated to exceptional food, warm hospitality, and continued learning.
