Chef de Partie – Join the Team at Jang

Join the team at Jang, an exceptional restaurant situated on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team. Start date: September 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for creating exceptional food, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You will be responsible for running your section efficiently, maintaining consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation, and working closely with the wider kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes within your designated section.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented consistently to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of ingredients, recipes and preparation methods.
  • Ensure your section is organised, fully prepared and ready for each service.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and support effective stock rotation.
  • Work closely with other sections to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Support junior members of the kitchen team with training and development when required.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
  • Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures.
  • Support the senior kitchen team in maintaining consistently high culinary and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • A genuine passion for food and creating high-quality dishes.
  • Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to support colleagues and work closely with the senior kitchen team.
  • High standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

  • £16.27 per hour.
  • 40-hour contract.
  • Monday to Saturday operation – we are closed on Sundays.
