About the Role

At Daylesford Organic, food is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a passionate and talented Chef de Partie to join our award-winning kitchen team in Brompton Cross, West London, creating exceptional seasonal dishes using the finest organic ingredients, many of which are grown and produced on our own farm.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will take ownership of your section, ensuring every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standard. You'll thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, working collaboratively with the team to deliver an outstanding dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills within one of the UK's leading organic food and hospitality businesses.

Salary: £13.96 per hour plus Tronc.
Hours: 16 hours per week, 6:30am to 15:30pm.

Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and deliver exceptional dishes in line with Daylesford's recipes, specifications and quality standards.
  • Take ownership of your section, ensuring it is organised, fully stocked and service ready.
  • Prepare daily mise en place and ensure your section is set up for the following day's service.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of food presentation, quality and consistency.

Kitchen Operations

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, working efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Follow kitchen audit procedures and maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to the Head Chef promptly.

Teamwork & Development

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the kitchen, supporting one another to deliver exceptional service.
  • Share your knowledge and passion for food, helping to develop junior chefs and apprentices.
  • Continuously develop your culinary skills, learning about Daylesford's seasonal produce and production methods.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or within a fresh food restaurant, café or hospitality environment.
  • A genuine passion for seasonal, organic food and high-quality ingredients.
  • A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen best practices.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own section effectively.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and support your team.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
