The Ship has been providing parched Ship Mates refreshments and food on the banks of the River Thames since 1786, making us one of the most famous landmark pubs in London. Here in the heart of Wandsworth, the crew are dedicated to providing their customers with excellent service, led by Admiral Matt at the helm. We’re looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at The Ship.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CDP or a Commis Chef ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be working with fresh, quality ingredients in a busy, energetic pub environment, helping us deliver brilliant food and a great experience for every guest.

What we look for in a Chef de Partie:
We’re looking for an existing Chef de Partie with a genuine passion for fresh, quality food and the energy to thrive in a busy kitchen.
As our successful Chef de Partie, you will:
- Have experience championing excellent service through quality food.
- Be passionate about delivering fantastic food every time.
- Be a hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor who leads by example.
- Be eager to learn new skills and develop your career.
- Be an active team player with excellent communication skills.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to bring creativity to the kitchen, helping to develop and deliver new dishes, menus and daily specials.
- Have strong planning and organisational skills to help maintain effective GP and labour controls.
- Take a proactive approach to driving sales and delivering growth, working closely with both the kitchen and front of house teams.
