Chef de Partie | Another Place, The Lake | 45 hours per week

Offering straight shifts, 50% off meals whilst on duty and free paddleboarding sessions for team. Set in 18 acres of the Lake District National Park, our team is at the heart of the Another Place experience. Together, we create great food and memorable moments for our guests. From preparing incredible food to delivering great service, we bring together local produce, quality ingredients and a passion for what we do.

Our Chef de Partie Role

We’re looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. Working across our two restaurants, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience two very different kitchens and styles of cooking. At Ramspbeck, you’ll deliver our fine dining menu from an open kitchen, showcasing the very best of local Cumbrian produce with a contemporary flair, and at The Living Space, you’ll support our team in creating generous sharing platters, burgers and a range of comforting dishes that reflect our relaxed, laid-back approach to good food. This is a full-time position working 45 hours per week and is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety, quality produce and working across different styles of cuisine.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery (desirable)
  • NVQ Level 1 Food Hygiene or equivalent (essential)
  • A passion for great food and the hospitality industry
  • Creativity and excellent knowledge of quality ingredients
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
  • Professional presentation and excellent personal hygiene
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes to our standards.
  • Working closely with our senior chefs to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
  • Taking ownership of your section and helping deliver an excellent service.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
  • Helping manage stock effectively and minimise food waste.
  • Completing essential kitchen checks and records.
  • Supporting the wider team with food preparation and service when needed.
  • Sharing your knowledge and supporting junior chefs as part of a positive, collaborative team.
