Job Opportunity: Part-Time Chef
The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Chef to join us at our luxury, independent living, Solihull Retirement Village based in Birmingham.
Are you an experienced Chef who is creative and likes to cook with fresh food? You will be involved with menu planning, special dietary requirements, and contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen within a small team.

Details:
- Role: Chef
- Hours: 27.5 hours per week - Permanent Contract
- Rate: £14.06 per hour (£20,166pa, pro rata of FTE)
- Location: Solihull Retirement Village, Birmingham, B90 2FH
ExtraCare does not participate in the current “UK Visa Sponsorship” scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship.
You will be given the responsibility for the kitchen in the head chef’s absence, and we will provide all the support and training you need.
We can offer you a fantastic working environment in our state-of-the-art kitchen, working with a small team consisting of a head chef and part-time catering assistants.

What Will You Do as Our Chef?
- Work with our Head Chef, responsible for providing freshly cooked meals
- Offer residents an excellent choice of meals which provide good nutritional value.
- Assist with other kitchen duties and ensure HACCP is followed.
- Ensure the menus are prepared within budget.
