Location: ATC Pirbright, GU24 0QQ

Pay rate: £13.93 per hour (£27,247.87)

Working pattern: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (includes some weekends)

Shift times: Vary between 0500 and 1930

As a Chef at Pirbright, you'll be part of a dedicated catering team serving the next generation of British Army soldiers. Working in a busy and rewarding environment, you'll help deliver quality meals that fuel recruits throughout their training, while developing your culinary skills within a professional and supportive team. What you’ll do:

No two days look the same, but you can expect to:

  • Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – plus fine dining for special events
  • Following recipes and all policies and procedures
  • Working as part of a talented team and mentoring new colleagues
  • Managing stock, placing orders, and keeping kitchen records up to date
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Supporting with kitchen deep cleans and due diligence paperwork

What we’re looking for:

You’ll shine in this role if you have:

  • A relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent)
  • A confident chef who loves working as part of a team and can help with contract catering for large numbers
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for great food
  • Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks (UK residency for the past 3 years required)
