The Opportunity
Global Highland is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local chip shop in Muir of Ord for a Chef / Fryer to join their busy team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone with a passion for cooking and delivering high-quality takeaway food. Experience as a fryer is desirable; however, candidates with general cooking experience who are eager to learn will also be considered.

- Preparing and cooking traditional chip shop food including fish, chips, and other menu items
- Operating fryers safely and efficiently
- Ensuring food is cooked to a high standard and served promptly
- Maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation
General Kitchen Operations
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
- Assisting with stock control and storage
- Supporting team members during busy service periods
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
Essential
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability

- Previous experience working as a fryer
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
What’s On Offer
- Salary: £25,000 per annum
- Working pattern: 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
