Chef - Full-Time
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at SPAR Newcastle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering a positive experience for customers while working effectively as part of a team.
- Prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard
- Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with company procedures and food safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control where required
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Contribute to a positive and customer-focused environment

- Previous experience working as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP, and health & hygiene standards
- Ability to prepare and present food to a consistently high standard
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours in line with business needs
