Roster Details

  • 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Includes one weekend shift, earned back as Time in Lieu (TIL)
  • School holiday periods off

Gather by Cater Care is looking for an enthusiastic Chef to join our culinary team at an educational facility in Ipswich.

In this role, you will work alongside a passionate team to craft high-quality meals for students at a reputable school. You will play a key role in preparing and showcasing exceptional dishes for formal dinners and special events, ensuring every plate is beautifully presented and full of flavour.

  • Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for students and staff
  • Support high-volume and bulk meal production
  • Deliver professional and friendly customer service
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Adhere to food safety and workplace health and safety standards
  • Provide efficient service with a positive, proactive approach

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or an equivalent certification)
  • Proven background in a chef role, with preference given to education sector experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-volume meal preparation and bulk catering
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and time-management capabilities alongside high attention to detail
  • Proven capacity to perform effectively both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
