Weekend Chef – Invicta Park Barracks, Maidstone

Location & Details

  • Location: Invicta Park Barracks, Maidstone, ME14 2NA
  • Salary: £11,240.32 per year
  • Hours: Permanent, part-time, 16 hours per week (Weekends – Sat & Sun)
  • Shifts: To Be Announced (TBA)

About the Role

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Weekend Chef to join their team at Invicta Barracks.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
  • Supporting new team members in learning kitchen procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to:

  • Cook and prepare food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring minimal wastage.
  • Provide fine dining (silver service) for functions/hospitality events.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and act as a trainer/coach for new members.
  • Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a range of meals.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hotel cabinets, and serveries.
  • Complete daily paperwork for due diligence.
  • Assist with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Have been a UK resident for the past 3 years.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Be able to pass:
    • Full security vetting.
    • DBS checks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent).
  • Excellent team player and communicator.
  • Confident chef with the ability to train others.
  • Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
