Weekend Chef – Invicta Park Barracks, Maidstone

- Location: Invicta Park Barracks, Maidstone, ME14 2NA
- Salary: £11,240.32 per year
- Hours: Permanent, part-time, 16 hours per week (Weekends – Sat & Sun)
- Shifts: To Be Announced (TBA)
About the Role
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Weekend Chef to join their team at Invicta Barracks.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
- Supporting new team members in learning kitchen procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Cook and prepare food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring minimal wastage.
- Provide fine dining (silver service) for functions/hospitality events.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and act as a trainer/coach for new members.
- Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a range of meals.
- Assist with deliveries, stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
- Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hotel cabinets, and serveries.
- Complete daily paperwork for due diligence.
- Assist with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Have been a UK resident for the past 3 years.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Be able to pass:
- Full security vetting.
- DBS checks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent).
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- Confident chef with the ability to train others.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
