Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours as required, 6:30am to 2:30pm

If so, then we have the role for you, at our restaurant/canteen within a manufacturing site in Magor, working for Apleona, an FM provider committed to delivering a high-quality food offer that always exceeds expectations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the management of all catering, vending, and hospitality services provision, as well as being hands-on supporting with food preparation. It is an important part of the role to manage, support, and develop the team within your sphere of responsibility, to ensure they are responsive, well-motivated, and customer-focused, providing excellent catering, hospitality, and function services to all customers.

You will be an important member of the site management team and will need to be hands-on, motivated, hardworking - a committed team player, ensuring the highest professional standards are adhered to at all times with strong leadership skills.

Our ideal candidate will need to have:

  • Experience at a management level within a catering & events environment, in both the management and culinary side.
  • Experience within a catering & events environment catering for small and large functions.
  • Ability to demonstrate communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate success in management skills that inspires respect and confidence.
  • Ability to demonstrate success leadership skills, leading by example.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and focus.
  • Ability to demonstrate being a flexible / supportive team player.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health & safety, food safety, and HACCP legislation and regulations.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and achieving high client and customer satisfaction.

We'll provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You may already have a food hygiene qualification, so please let us know in your application.

You will be paid up to £28,500 per annum and you will typically work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday as required. Mostly, your hours will be within normal working hours 06:30 to 14:30, but you will need to be able to adjust your hours where required to support business needs, including to support our weekend service.
