Chef – The Caravan Shop

We’re looking for a chef to join the small team at The Caravan Shop.

It’s a hands-on role working closely with the rest of the team, but on many days you’ll also be responsible for running the kitchen independently — organising your prep, managing service and making sure everything leaving the kitchen is at the standard we expect.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for their own section of the business. You don’t need to have worked in huge kitchens or have a particular background; we’re much more interested in someone who cooks well, cares about ingredients and takes pride in doing things properly.

The food is seasonal, ingredient-led and made from scratch, with plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and develop alongside the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll be joining a small, supportive team, so reliability, good communication and a positive attitude are just as important as cooking ability.

The role involves:

  • Running the kitchen independently on many shifts
  • Prep and service
  • Maintaining standards and organisation
  • Ordering and stock management
  • Food safety and kitchen cleanliness
  • Working closely with the wider Caravan Shop team
  • Contributing to menu development and seasonal changes

Experience in a similar role would be useful, but attitude and ability matter more to us than job titles.

Full-time position.

Salary dependent on experience.
