Are you a Chef looking for a role where you can make a difference, without the late nights of traditional hospitality?

We’re looking for a Nursery Chef to join our team at Busy Bees Bedford Elstow, preparing fresh, nutritious meals that help fuel little minds every day.

About The Role

You’ll take responsibility for preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for our children, catering for allergies and dietary requirements and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Our 112-place, Ofsted-rated Good nursery has fantastic natural outdoor spaces and a welcoming team.

We’re conveniently located just off the A6 and A421, only a two-minute walk from the Park & Ride bus stop, with free parking available for staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet dietary needs.
  • Oversee kitchen operations ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance.
  • Manage kitchen staff and collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and efficiently manage purchasing.

Ideal Candidate

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
  • Experience in catering or kitchen operations.
  • Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
