Palé Hall is a luxury country house hotel set in the heart of wild Wales, surrounded by the Snowdonia hills, the Dee Valley, and verdant woodland. Role Description

This full-time, on-site role in Llandderfel covers both Chefs and Front of House responsibilities within a luxury hotel environment.

Chefs Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes
  • Assist with menu development
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene standards
  • Manage stock rotation
  • Work closely with the team to ensure consistency and presentation

  • Ensure that every guest receives attentive, professional, and courteous service

All team members will collaborate across departments, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to the calm, polished atmosphere that defines Palé Hall.

Qualifications

  • Professional culinary skills for Chefs, including experience in high-quality or fine dining kitchens, strong food preparation and cooking techniques, and a focus on presentation and consistency.
  • Front of House hospitality skills, including guest-facing service experience, confident communication, and the ability to manage reservations, service steps, and guest queries with discretion.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities, with the ability to work effectively across kitchen and service teams and support colleagues during busy service periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, ensuring standards are maintained in both guest areas and back-of-house spaces.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations, with relevant certifications or willingness to undertake training.
  • Previous experience in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or comparable hospitality environments is highly beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and reliable on-site presence in Llandderfel.
  • Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality, or equivalent practical experience in professional kitchens or front of house roles.
