Job Description

UK Chemical Plant Operator-Shifts 4 on 6 off days and nights
£30000-£35000 dependant on experience plus shift allowance

Main aspects of the role

  • Operate a variety of chemical plant equipment including loading/off loading tankers
  • Follow detailed standard operating procedures
  • Problem Solving in Production Areas
  • Regular manual handling of chemicals bags up to 25kg and drums.
  • Assist with Audits and Inspections
  • You will also be expected to participate in the site Emergency Response and participate in continuous improvement and asset care

We need you to be able to;

  • Work shifts Days and Nights (2 x 12 days, 2 x 12 nights) 6 days off but must be available to cover with reserved hours.
  • Understand Top Tier COMAH
  • Possess basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer skills (SAP advantageous, Microsoft packages)
  • Counterbalance FLT licence

Qualifications

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
  • Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous
