About Vateris

Vateris is a climate technology company developing breakthrough processes to capture and permanently mineralise CO₂ into high-performance construction materials. Our technology reduces the carbon footprint of concrete while improving its performance. Following a successful 10× scale-up of our technology, we are commissioning a pilot plant in Nottingham using real industrial flue gas to support the development of our first commercial demonstrator. Working alongside leading industrial partners and UK universities, we are accelerating the decarbonisation of the construction industry.

The Role

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to support pilot plant operations, process development and technology scale-up. Working closely with our engineering and R&D teams, you will operate and optimise pilot plant processes, develop CO₂-derived construction materials, and contribute to scaling our technology from laboratory development to commercial deployment. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pilot plant commissioning, process optimisation, chemical manufacturing and technology commercialisation within a fast-growing climate technology company.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
