Why This Role Exists
We’re a dynamic team of eight, building the world’s most advanced binder chemistry systems. Our products and services are in demand and our process platform is maturing. We’re hiring to support our next phase of growth.
Next on the list: a highly motivated Chemist who can support formulation development across our binder jetting activities. This person will play a lead role in the development and optimisation of binder and ink formulations, working closely with engineering and materials teams to support the successful translation of laboratory development into robust, scalable, real-world applications.
This role will suit a proactive, curious and adaptable Chemist, someone who is technically adept and happy to explore Chemistry topics with non-chemists (and customers).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support formulation development and optimisation, including material selection and process parameter optimisation.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate and improve new formulations.
- Develop and implement testing and characterisation protocols to ensure product performance and quality meet customer requirements.
- Support the scale-up and translation of laboratory development into real-world applications.
- Help the business look for ways, tools, models and methods to enhance processes, performance, IP and the AI value-add to our work.
What You'll Bring
- Chemistry credentials: Well-developed Organic Chemistry skills, ideally complemented by a solid understanding of Inorganic. Polymer-specific expertise would be a considerable plus.
- Curious and adaptable: You have genuine curiosity about our world, and a willingness to play a part in improving what we do as a company and improving sustainable manufacturing as a whole. You’re happy to be very hands-on in bringing this about.
- Solution-focussed: You’re proactive in finding ways to approach problems, but you’re not dogmatic and feedback from outside your domain plays a key role in helping you define solutions.
- Proactive and energetic: You're happiest when day-to-day tasks are constituent parts of something big you and the team are building. You enjoy the time and materials constraints that client work brings.
- Self-aware, sponge mindset: You don’t have all the answers, but you’re committed to getting them.

Bonus:
