Chemistry Graduate | Barnet | January 2027 Start

Are you a Chemistry Graduate looking for a full-time role in education? We are seeking a confident Chemistry Graduate to join an Outstanding all-boys secondary school in Barnet from January 2027 until July 2027 as an Unqualified Chemistry Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chemistry Graduate to step into an unqualified teaching role and gain valuable classroom experience while supporting the delivery of engaging and practical Chemistry lessons.

The Role

Chemistry Graduate

  • Full-time position: January 2027 – July 2027
  • Fixed-term role covering a planned period of staff absence
  • Work as an Unqualified Chemistry Teacher within the Science department
  • Support the delivery of engaging Chemistry lessons across the school
  • Lead and support practical experiments and classroom activities
  • Set up and manage laboratory equipment and resources
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Work alongside experienced Science and Chemistry teachers

About You

  • A minimum 2:1 degree in Chemistry from a leading UK university
  • A or A* grades at A Level, including Chemistry
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in Chemistry
  • Confident communicating with and supporting students in the classroom
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for Chemistry and education
  • Previous school or classroom experience is desirable but not essential
  • Keen to gain valuable teaching experience before pursuing a career in education
