An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chemistry Patent Attorney (1–3 PQE) to join a highly regarded and growing IP practice.

The firm has an excellent reputation within the patent market and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys on a broad range of high-quality chemistry matters.

The Role

You will work across a varied portfolio of patent work, advising innovative clients on matters including:

  • Patent drafting and prosecution
  • European and international patent applications
  • IP strategy and portfolio management
  • Working closely with clients and technical teams
  • Supporting senior attorneys on complex matters

Experience within small molecules would be highly desirable, although candidates with a strong broader chemistry background are encouraged to apply.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 1–3 years' PQE as a Patent Attorney
  • A strong academic background in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Experience in patent drafting and prosecution
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • A commercially minded approach and genuine interest in IP
  • Small molecule experience would be advantageous
