Chief Commercial Officer
We are working with a leading live events and venue services business seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer to drive the next stage of growth. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for commercial strategy, revenue generation, client development and the ongoing expansion of high-value partnerships.
Role purpose
The Chief Commercial Officer will lead the commercial agenda across the business, with accountability for growth in existing accounts, new business, partnership development and broader revenue optimisation. Working closely with the executive team, you will shape the commercial plan, build stronger market positioning and help create a scalable, high-performing growth function.
Key responsibilities
- Define and deliver the commercial strategy, ensuring clear growth targets and strong financial performance.
- Lead business development, client growth and new opportunity creation across the portfolio.
- Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across venues, rights holders, event operators and brand partners.
- Develop account strategies that increase revenue, retention and share of wallet.
- Lead and mentor a commercial team, embedding pace, accountability and a strong performance culture.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, finance and delivery teams to ensure proposals are both commercially attractive and operationally deliverable.
- Shape pricing, pipeline management, forecasting and reporting to improve commercial decision-making.
- Identify new routes to market and innovative ways to grow revenue across multiple service lines.

Candidate profile
You will be a commercially astute leader with a strong track record of growing revenue in live events, venue services, hospitality, sports, leisure or other consumer-facing environments. You will bring experience of leading teams, winning and growing major accounts, and operating credibly at executive level. Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on delivery will be essential.

We are particularly interested in individuals who have led growth in complex service businesses where client relationships, premium experiences and operational excellence all matter. Experience in sports, stadia, hospitality, event services or closely aligned sectors would be highly advantageous.
What success looks like
Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, stronger client retention, increased account penetration and a more scalable commercial engine. You will be expected to sharpen the business development approach, improve forecasting and help the organisation unlock more value from its existing customer base while opening up new opportunities.
