The Role
The Chief Operating Officer (Business Development) leads the commercial operating model that enables scalable, data-driven revenue growth. The role is responsible for Revenue Operations, CRM, commercial analytics, sales enablement, pricing governance, business intelligence, and commercial transformation. Acting as the bridge between Sales and key business functions, the BD COO ensures efficient execution of commercial strategy, optimizes the client lifecycle, and provides leadership with the insights required to make strategic decisions.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously improve the commercial operating model, including sales governance, pipeline management, opportunity management, resource planning, and commercial controls.
- Lead Revenue Operations across the entire revenue lifecycle, from lead management through onboarding and client expansion.
- Own CRM strategy, governance, adoption, data quality, automation, AI integration, and related technology platforms.
- Develop commercial data capabilities, including client data, prospect intelligence, relationship mapping, opportunity tracking, and market insights.
- Deliver executive reporting and business intelligence covering pipeline, forecasting, sales performance, client profitability, and strategic KPIs.
- Provide commercial analytics, market sizing, segmentation, revenue modelling, opportunity assessment, and strategic recommendations.
- Lead pricing governance, commercial modelling, profitability analysis, and deal approval processes.
- Manage proposal, RFP, RFI, and DDQ activities, including content management, bid governance, and response quality.
- Oversee client intelligence, commercial due diligence, and sales-to-operations onboarding processes.
- Drive sales enablement through tools, training, automation, AI solutions, and knowledge management.
- Lead commercial governance forums, performance reviews, and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional partnerships with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise Data teams.
- Lead teams covering Sales Operations, CRM, Commercial Analytics, Pricing, Proposal Management, Client Intelligence, Commercial Data, and Sales Enablement.

Your Skills and Experience:

- Significant leadership experience in Revenue Operations, Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, or Business Development Analytics.
- Strong understanding of CRM platforms (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365), data management, automation, and AI-enabled sales tools.
- Proven experience in commercial analytics, forecasting, business intelligence, reporting, and KPI management.
- Expertise in pipeline management, sales governance, pricing, profitability analysis, and commercial performance management.
- Experience leading transformation, operating model redesign, and technology-driven change initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline; financial services or asset management experience preferred.
