Commerce is entering a new era.

Over the last decade, commerce businesses have built increasingly sophisticated stacks of analytics, dashboards and point solutions to understand how they perform. The next shift is toward AI agents that can understand the economics of the business, make informed recommendations and increasingly take action. That is what we’re building at Dema.

Dema is the agentic operating system for commerce.

We connect orders, inventory, marketing, customers and costs into a shared, profit-aware commercial model, giving AI agents the business context they need to analyse, recommend and execute work across the organisation.

We’re already seeing what this can enable. At Tatti Lashes, the team built 20 custom workflows in three weeks, compressing work that previously took three to four months. Across Dema, more than one million AI actions are now run every month for brands including Acne Studios, Axel Arigato and Represent Clothing.

We’re now looking for a CCO to build the commercial organisation for the next stage of Dema. This person will define how we go to market, sharpen our category position and build the team and operating system needed to scale across Europe and the US.

The product is proven, customer traction is strong and the market is moving quickly. The opportunity now is to build the commercial playbook that can make Dema a global category leader in agentic commerce.

The role

You'll own the full commercial system: Sales, Marketing, Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Partnerships, Business Development and Customer Success. Not as separate functions, but as one connected engine that creates attention, turns it into conversations, converts the right customers, gets them to value, and grows them over time.

Your job is to build the team, structure and accountability around that system, not to personally run every motion. You should be equally comfortable hiring a senior leader, reviewing a major deal, challenging a campaign, or identifying why something in the funnel is not working and taking action.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Customer Success is part of the commercial engine, not something that happens after the sale. What we learn from customers should continuously sharpen Sales, Marketing and Product. Recurring impact = recurring revenue, which warrants a commercial leader that can drive this philosophy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own new business and expansion, work closely with Product and the CTO, and partner with our co-founders to strengthen Dema's position in the market.

What you'll work on

  • Building and leading the commercial organisation, end to end
  • Designing the go-to-market model; ICP, positioning, pipeline, onboarding, retention and expansion
  • Building a management system and KPI scorecard: targets, leading indicators, forecasting, a cadence that surfaces problems early
  • Hiring and developing strong functional leaders, with real ownership
  • Sharpening Dema's category narrative so the market understands why we matter and why we're different
  • Building a partnership and ecosystem strategy that creates real distribution and credibility
  • Using AI aggressively across the commercial org - research, outbound, enablement, forecasting - without losing judgment or quality

What we think matters

We care about one thing: evidence that you've built and led commercial systems that actually work, not a specific background or sequence of titles.

  • You’ve built and scaled a strong B2B SaaS or technology commercial organisation.
  • You understand what it takes to move from founder-led growth to something repeatable without losing speed.
  • You know how to build through leaders. You hire strong people, create clear ownership and build an organisation that doesn’t depend on you being involved in every decision.
  • You understand the full funnel. From creating demand to closing complex deals, getting customers to value and growing them over time.
  • You know complex B2B selling. You can spot a real opportunity, a weak champion, a bad forecast and a deal that needs executive attention.
  • You’re inventive. You look for unconventional ways to create attention, reach the right people and build distribution. You care about what works more than what the standard playbook says should work.
  • You think in systems. Sales, Marketing, Brand, Partnerships, Customer Success and Product are connected, and you naturally look for the feedback loops between them.
  • You lead well. You create clarity, make hard calls and build teams where strong people have real ownership.
  • You’re genuinely excited by AI. You’re already using it and thinking about how it changes research, outreach, content, enablement, forecasting, customer intelligence and the structure of commercial teams themselves.
