Chief Compliance Officer

The Opportunity
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading investment management firm seeking an accomplished Chief Compliance Officer.
This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal stage of its evolution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the firm's regulatory strategy while driving the compliance agenda through a period of strategic growth, operational change, and business transformation.
Working closely with the executive leadership team and Board, you will provide trusted regulatory leadership, strengthen governance frameworks, and help ensure the business continues to evolve with confidence in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's compliance function and regulatory strategy.
- Act as the principal adviser to the Board and Executive Committee on regulatory matters.
- Maintain and enhance the firm's compliance framework within an FCA-regulated environment.
- Support strategic business initiatives, acquisitions, and transformation programmes from a regulatory perspective.
- Foster a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
- Build effective relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the business remains ahead of emerging requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing compliance team.

About You
We're interested in speaking with professionals who can demonstrate:
- Significant senior compliance leadership experience within investment management or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and UK regulatory framework.
- Experience operating at SMF level or supporting executive leadership within a regulated business.
- A proven track record of leading regulatory change and business transformation.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance regulatory requirements with business objectives.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at Board level.
