Role Description
The Chief Content Officer is a temporary, hybrid role based in Reading, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the end-to-end content strategy, leading the planning, creation, and optimization of content across digital, print, and social channels.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Guiding editorial direction
- Managing content calendars
- Reviewing and approving key content assets
- Ensuring alignment with business and brand objectives
The Chief Content Officer will collaborate with marketing, product, sales, and external partners, provide leadership and mentoring to content teams, and monitor performance metrics to refine strategies. The role also involves representing the content function in senior leadership discussions and ensuring that content initiatives are consistent, inclusive, and audience-focused.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Content Development and Writing, with a strong portfolio of multi-channel content.
- Proven ability in Content Strategy, including planning, governance, and performance measurement.
- Experience in Editorial leadership, including setting editorial guidelines and overseeing quality control.
- Background in Public Relations, with skills in messaging, reputation management, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience directing cross-functional or creative teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration in Reading with remote work.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on audience insights and data-driven improvements.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in media, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in digital media, social platforms, and content management systems is highly beneficial.

Job Overview
We are looking for a talented and creative Videographer & Camera Operator to join our dynamic media team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content and editing footage to produce engaging visual stories.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from corporate videos to promotional content, utilizing a range of professional equipment and editing software. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong technical skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for visual storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Operate professional video cameras and equipment to capture high-resolution footage in various settings.
- Plan and execute shoots, including setting up lighting, sound, and staging as required.
- Edit raw footage using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro to create polished final products.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and deliver content that meets objectives.
- Maintain camera equipment, ensuring all gear is clean, functional, and properly stored after use.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in videography, editing techniques, colour grading, and visual effects.

Experience
- Proven experience in videography and camera operation across a variety of projects.
- Proficiency in video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong knowledge of photography principles and composition techniques.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator for post-production work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous work that showcases technical skills and creative vision is highly desirable.
