Chief Data Officer

£160,000-£180,000
London (Hybrid – 1x Day a Week in Office)

The Company

This is a high-growth, PE-backed financial services business operating within the consumer credit and instalment payments space; with an ambitious growth agenda, the business is investing heavily in its technology, data and product capabilities. This is a key leadership hire as the organisation looks to modernise its data estate, build stronger engineering capabilities and use data more effectively across the customer journey!

The Role

As the Chief Data Officer, you will take ownership of the data strategy and lead a significant transformation of the organisation's data and analytics capabilities. Your remit is to come in, review and reshape the existing data capability, define the target operating model and lead the development of a modern data lake and warehouse architecture. A major focus will be creating a genuinely self-serve data environment, enabling teams across the business to access and use data more effectively. You will work closely with a tight-knit senior leadership team. The role will also have a strong focus on using AI to improve engineering productivity, including increasing development speed and efficiency through modern coding and development practices; one of the initial priorities will be the customer onboarding journey, using data to improve personalisation, analytics and the overall customer experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
