JU3000 Jack-up Drilling rig - Offshore UKCS, crew changing out of Aberdeen
The Chief Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electrical equipment onboard the rig, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. The role supports rig performance by minimising equipment downtime, managing planned and corrective maintenance activities, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and providing technical expertise for electrical systems. The successful candidate will also lead and develop Assistant Electricians, promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across offshore operations.

- Recognised electrical trade qualification or equivalent.
- Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (CompEx)
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
- MIST - Minimum Industry Safety Training Course Certificate
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrician on a MODU.
- Strong knowledge of power generation and electrical systems.
- Experience reading electrical drawings and conducting electrical equipment inspections and repairs.
- Excellent troubleshooting, leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, operational excellence and team development.
