SHAPE THE FUTURE OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN HARROGATE
Harrogate Housing Association is a respected, financially strong and genuinely local organisation with a proud history of providing high-quality homes and services for people across Harrogate and the surrounding area.
Deeply rooted in the communities we serve, we are committed to making a positive difference to local residents' lives and helping our neighbourhoods thrive. Following the planned retirement of our long-standing and highly respected Chief Executive, we are seeking an exceptional leader to guide us through the next stage of our journey.
Role Overview
Working closely with the Board, the Chief Executive will provide strategic and inspirational leadership, ensuring the Association remains financially resilient, well governed and firmly focused on meeting local housing needs and delivering excellent outcomes for residents and communities. You will lead the delivery of our strategic ambitions, foster a high-performing culture and strengthen our reputation as a trusted local organisation and influential voice within the region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
