Abeer Macintyre Consultancy is delighted to be working with Scottish Mountain Rescue to appoint its first Chief Executive Officer.
This is a rare opportunity to lead the operational functions of a national charity representing 26 volunteer Mountain Rescue Teams across Scotland, alongside the RAF and Police teams, and to support the Board in shaping its future strategic direction.
Scottish Mountain Rescue is looking for an experienced senior leader with strong management skills, excellent stakeholder relationship-building experience, a clear understanding of Scotland’s policy and public sector landscape, and a genuine commitment to the cause.

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 pro rata
Contract: Permanent, 0.8 FTE
Hours: 30 hours per week, flexible
Location: Home-based, with travel across Scotland
