Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Formal Wear

Location: Bangladesh

Remuneration: USD 12,000 - 15,000 per month (Net) + Executive Benefits

A globally recognized Apparel Manufacturing & Export organization with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, producing premium formal wear for some of the world's most prestigious fashion brands. The company is renowned for operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, quality, and long-term strategic partnerships with internationally recognized retailers and brands.

Overview

Our client is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead one of the region's most sophisticated apparel manufacturing and export organizations.

This opportunity is ideally suited for a commercially driven apparel leader who has progressed through Merchandising & Marketing before expanding into Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Business Strategy, and Executive Leadership.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of international apparel sourcing, customer relationship management, manufacturing excellence, and business transformation while driving sustainable profitability and long-term organizational growth.

This role requires a visionary leader capable of managing complex manufacturing operations while strengthening relationships with globally recognized apparel brands and identifying future growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

  • Lead the overall strategic direction and execution of the organization.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and shareholder value.
  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with global market trends.
  • Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven organizational culture.

Commercial & Customer Leadership

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with global apparel brands and retailers.
  • Lead customer engagement, commercial negotiations, and long-term business partnerships.
  • Expand existing customer portfolios while identifying new global business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with customers on product development, sourcing strategies, and innovation initiatives.

Manufacturing & Operations Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across all production facilities.
  • Ensure world-class operational efficiency, productivity, quality, delivery performance, and cost optimization.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Digital Transformation, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance production planning, capacity utilization, and manufacturing flexibility.

Merchandising & Product Strategy

  • Provide strategic leadership to Merchandising and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently translated into operational execution.
  • Strengthen product development capabilities and speed-to-market initiatives.
  • Drive value-added product innovation and strategic sourcing.

Supply Chain & Sourcing

  • Oversee procurement, sourcing, planning, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships while optimizing procurement strategies.
  • Improve supply chain resilience and responsiveness to changing customer demands.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the organization.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Optimize working capital and investment decisions.
  • Deliver sustainable EBITDA and profitability improvements.

People Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing executive leadership team.
  • Develop succession planning and leadership capability across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Champion diversity, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Quality, Sustainability & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with international customer standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote world-class quality systems and operational governance.
  • Lead ESG, sustainability, ethical sourcing, and environmental initiatives.
  • Maintain global certifications and customer compliance standards.

Business Growth & Transformation

  • Identify expansion opportunities across products, customers, and markets.

Pre-requisites

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Apparel, Textile Engineering, Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Business Management is highly preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of progressive leadership experience within the Apparel Manufacturing & Export industry.
  • Minimum 8-10 years in Senior Leadership, Business Unit Head, COO, Managing Director, or CEO capacity.
  • Strong preference for candidates who have progressed from Merchandising & Marketing into Manufacturing Operations and General Management.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale apparel manufacturing operations supplying globally recognized fashion brands.
  • Extensive experience in premium Formalwear, Tailoring, Suits, Jackets, Trousers, Shirts, and Structured Garments manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, operational transformation, and organizational performance.
  • Strong exposure to multi-factory manufacturing environments with significant employee populations.
