About Capital Credit Union

Capital Credit Union is one of Scotland's leading credit unions, helping thousands of members improve their financial wellbeing through ethical savings, affordable borrowing and responsible financial services. For over 37 years, we have combined strong financial performance with a clear social purpose, supporting individuals, families, employers and communities across Scotland and beyond.

As we continue to grow, innovate and expand our impact across the UK, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of development and ensure we remain a trusted, sustainable and member-focused financial institution.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership, regulatory oversight and operational direction across the Credit Union. The successful candidate will drive sustainable growth, financial strength and organisational performance while maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance and member service. From a regulatory perspective, the Capital Credit Union CEO role is designated as SMF8 (Credit Union Senior Management Function) under the Senior Managers & Certification Regime

This is an opportunity to lead a respected financial co-operative with a strong reputation for ethical finance and financial inclusion. The role requires an experienced leader who can balance commercial success with social purpose while representing the organisation with regulators, stakeholders, partners and the wider community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
