Build the category-defining platform for digital legacy planning
Location: London / Hybrid UK
Stage: Pre-seed | Live product | Paying customers | VC-backed
Sector: Digital Legacy | Estate Planning | WealthTech | AI
Package: Meaningful equity + competitive founder-level package
About Inheritly
Inheritly is on a mission to make estate and legacy planning radically simpler, smarter and more human. We’re building the global platform for digital legacy planning - one that integrates seamlessly into financial advice journeys, helps families plan with clarity, and unlocks lifetime value for advisers.
We’re starting with a sharp wedge into the UK IFA market - empowering advisers with a tool that surfaces legacy planning gaps, enables deeper conversations with clients, and closes critical legal document gaps through our partner legal services.
We’re already working with a growing group of IFA firms as design partners and paying customers, using real-world customer insight to shape the product and build a repeatable route to market.
Why this role and why now?
Legacy planning is broken - overwhelming, paper-heavy, and often ignored until it’s too late. Yet it touches every family and every financial journey. With AI, automation, and new regulation, there’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape this space.
As CEO, you’ll join at a defining moment: the product is live, customers are paying, the initial market wedge is established and early backers are aligned. Your job is to turn that head start into product-market fit, a repeatable GTM engine and, ultimately, a category-defining company.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re seeking a mission-driven, commercially astute CEO to lead Inheritly into its next chapter. You’ll take ownership of company vision, execution, and fundraising as we launch, scale, and expand internationally. This is a hands-on founder role, ideal for someone who combines founder/investor depth with a disruptive mindset and real GTM experience.
Mission & Culture Fit
You’re driven to delight customers by reimagining how legacy planning should work - not just improving a broken system but fundamentally disrupting it. You balance bold vision with sharp execution, bringing urgency, empathy, and clarity to a space filled with emotional and logistical friction. You think in terms of systems, scale, and trust - and you’re motivated to build something transformative and lasting that customers genuinely love.
The skills and experience you will need
- Founder or operator-executive experience in a B2B SaaS, fintech, or wealthtech business.
- Pre-product market fit experience is essential. You should have a track record of turning early customer insight into product iteration, traction and a clearer path to product-market fit.
- Deep sales acumen, with a proven track record of leading GTM from zero: building commercial models, closing design partners, driving adoption, and generating early revenue.
- Strong strategic thinker – you see industry systems fast, understand pain points deeply, and know how to position for traction.
- Disruptive mindset – You have a passion for delivering more value at lower cost for the end customer and want to deliver a step change in customer experience.
- Demonstrated VC literacy – you understand fundraising dynamics, investor expectations, and board management.
- Entrepreneurial pragmatism: you know when to run lean, when to build, and when to pivot.
- Nice to have: Experience with regulated markets such as financial advice, insurance, or legal tech.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s strategic vision, execution, and commercial delivery.
- Lead the transition of Inheritly from being ARK led, to an independent venture with a distinct culture.
- Build a repeatable GTM engine in the UK IFA channel, and prioritise other segments and GTMs for scaling.
- Build and lead a cross-functional team, including sales, operations, and marketing.
- Be the external face of Inheritly - to partners and investors. Spearhead fundraising (Seed, Series A), in close collaboration with ARK Venture Studio.
- Translate the long-term vision into near-term deliverables with urgency and focus. Manage the cash runway prudently.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- Establish and articulate a bold, credible strategic vision for Inheritly that achieves early validation from investors and partners.
- Start to build VC relationships now, as a prelude to a successful seed fundraise at end 2027. Secure funding for 12 months.
- Achieve £400k+ revenue run-rate within 12 months, driven by an IFA-led GTM strategy.
- Build a larger sales pipe to convert over the next 18-24 months including expanding to a broader range of partner types (e.g. insurers, banks).
- Validate the Inheritly unit-economics and demonstrate the ability of Inheritly to deliver recurring revenues.
