Confidential Music Licensing & Content Technology Company

The Opportunity

A profitable, founder-led music licensing and content technology company is seeking a driven Chief Executive Officer to lead its next stage of growth and position the business for financing or a strategic transaction.

Operating at the intersection of premium content, intellectual property, licensing, and technology, the company serves customers across digital media, entertainment, brands, agencies, and emerging content platforms. Its respected catalog, established relationships, and recurring and transactional revenue provide a strong foundation for expansion.

The incoming CEO will inherit a stable, profitable company with a talented, lean team and strong industry reputation, work closely with a seasoned co-founder during the transition, and build measurable enterprise value.

The Role

The CEO will own strategy, commercial performance, operations, talent, and long-term value creation.

The immediate priority is growth. In this hands-on role leading a 10-person company, the CEO must be equally comfortable in board discussions and personally advancing enterprise sales, partnerships, and key accounts.

During a thoughtful transition, the CEO will absorb institutional knowledge and transfer founder-held customer, creator, partner, and industry relationships into the organization.

The CEO will build scalable commercial capabilities, evaluate new products and markets, and prepare the company for strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth and Commercial Leadership

  • Own the company’s revenue strategy and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Personally lead enterprise sales, business development, and strategic partnership activity.
  • Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline, including clear targets, forecasting, conversion metrics, and accountability.
  • Expand key accounts and partnerships across media, entertainment, technology platforms, agencies, brands, gaming, and adjacent markets.
  • Develop new channels, licensing models, customer segments, and recurring-revenue opportunities while strengthening retention.
  • Represent the company with senior executives, investors, partners, and potential strategic buyers.

Strategy and Enterprise Value Creation

  • Develop and execute a focused growth plan, concentrating resources where the company has the greatest advantage.
  • Evaluate organic growth, partnerships, acquisitions, financing, and other strategic alternatives.
  • Improve revenue quality and predictability while protecting profitability.
  • Establish the financial, commercial, operational, and governance discipline required for due diligence and a potential investment, merger, acquisition, or sale.
  • Position the company for an attractive outcome without sacrificing current performance or long-term optionality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
