Chief Executive Officer (Interim / Permanent) • North Wales, United Kingdom • (On-site, 3 days per week)

A market-leading, PE-backed consumer services business is appointing a new CEO to lead its next chapter of growth.

Recently acquired by a larger PE-backed group, the business has spent the past year bringing its previously franchised network back in-house and rapidly expanding its service offering. It already serves 200,000+ subscribers with an exceptional ~9-year average customer lifetime, a rare and powerful foundation to build on.

This is an exciting time to join. The platform is in place; the opportunity now is to reignite customer growth, embed a set of newly launched services, and help shape the future of a genuinely acquisitive group. Reporting to the group CEO and owning the full P&L, you'll work closely with an experienced Marketing Lead to drive B2C customer acquisition, bring a newly enlarged and recently consolidated team together as one business, and, as the group builds market share, play a central role in future M&A. There is real scope here to make an impact now and to grow with the group over time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're running interim and permanent searches in tandem, with a strong preference for the interim to convert to permanent, so there is every opportunity to make the role your own.

Due to the commercial, marketing-led nature of the role, we are looking for an individual with the following experience:

  • B2C customer acquisition and marketing: a proven track record of driving subscriber and customer growth, across performance marketing, SEO, canvassing, CRM and newer social and influencer channels. This is the single most important requirement.
  • B2C services or subscription background: you've operated in a B2C services business, or a B2C subscription-based business, and are fluent in subscriber economics (CAC, LTV, retention). Services-led is ideal.
  • Full P&L ownership: you've owned a P&L at c.£50m+ scale and carried the revenue number end-to-end.
  • Change and integration leadership: you've brought teams together and built a cohesive culture through rapid M&A or consolidation, and done it at pace.
  • Pace and decisiveness: a sharp, highly numerate, fast-moving leader who gets to grips with a complex business quickly.
  • Direct, high-EQ leadership: you win hearts and minds, and have the integrity to challenge and be challenged rather than simply execute.
