The Opportunity

We are exclusively supporting a globally recognised machine tools manufacturer in the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer.

This is an opportunity to lead an established, technology-driven business with a strong international presence and an enviable position within its market.

The company is a true manufacturing business, with design, engineering and production capabilities under one roof. Its reputation has been built around the development of high-performance machine tools, technological innovation and a commitment to delivering solutions that provide genuine value to customers.

The business is now entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a commercially driven CEO who can build on its existing success and accelerate its next chapter.

The Role

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the continued growth and development of the business, with a particular emphasis on commercial strategy, business development and market expansion.

A key priority will be to increase the market penetration of the company's flagship machine, leveraging its existing technological advantages while identifying new customers, applications and markets.

Alongside growing the core business, the CEO will also be responsible for identifying and developing new market disciplines and applications where the company's technology can create a competitive advantage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
