Chief Executive Officer

Wakefield Hospice

Salary: circa £95,000 + excellent benefits

Location: Wakefield

For more than 30 years, Wakefield Hospice has been at the heart of its community, delivering outstanding specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people living with advanced, progressive and life-limiting illness. Each year, the hospice supports over 500 patients and their families, providing not only expert clinical care but also compassion, dignity and hope at the most important moments in life.

Now, Wakefield Hospice is embarking on a bold and transformative new chapter. A major redevelopment of its inpatient unit will reimagine how care is delivered, creating an environment that enhances privacy, dignity and comfort, and sets new standards for hospice care in the region. Alongside this, the hospice is committed to evolving and expanding its services to reach more people, respond to changing needs, and extend its impact across the community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
