Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s biggest consumer success stories in the search for their next CFO.
HQ’d in the North West, our client has built a substantial portfolio of consumer brands and technology-enabled businesses, with operations spanning commerce, fulfilment, digital platforms and international markets.
Following a period of significant growth, investment and organisational evolution, the business is entering an important next phase. The Board is seeking a high-calibre Chief Financial Officer to help shape that next chapter, strengthening financial performance and discipline while supporting strategic growth, operational transformation and long-term value creation.
This is a broad and highly influential CFO mandate. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Board and senior leadership team, combining strategic input with rigorous financial management and a strong commercial orientation.
The role will suit an experienced finance leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, complex environment and who brings the credibility to engage with the Board, investors and external stakeholders while remaining close to the operational drivers of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
