Midlands, Yorkshire, North West - Hybrid

We are partnering on behalf of a well established, highly respected professional services business as it prepares for the next stage of its growth journey and a significant future value realisation event.

This is a pivotal appointment for an experienced CFO who combines exceptional technical finance capability with commercial judgement, strong stakeholder management and the credibility to work with shareholders, advisors and potential investors.

The business has built an outstanding reputation over many years and is entering an exciting phase where the successful individual will play a central role in preparing the organisation for its next chapter.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board, you will provide both strategic and operational financial leadership, ensuring the business is investor ready whilst supporting continued profitable growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the business through investor and transaction readiness.
  • Working closely with shareholders, external advisors and potential investors.
  • Providing strategic financial leadership to support long term value creation.
  • Enhancing financial reporting, commercial insight and decision making.
  • Supporting governance, risk management and financial controls.
  • Advising on corporate structure and future transaction activity.
  • Developing the finance function while remaining a visible and collaborative member of the leadership team.

About You

We are interested in speaking with CFOs or Finance Directors who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working within a partnership or LLP environment.
  • A strong understanding of partnership accounting and governance.
  • Experience preparing a business for investment, private equity or an exit event.
  • Credibility with investors, lenders, advisors and Boards.
  • Strong commercial acumen alongside excellent technical finance capability.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at every level of the organisation.
  • Experience of corporate transactions, acquisitions or business transformation would be highly advantageous.
