Chief Financial Officer | Northamptonshire (on-site)
£110,000 to £130,000 + bonus + car + EMI share options scheme
The opportunity
Our client is a founder-led, international services business with turnover of c£30m and EBITDA of c£5m. They have ambitious growth plans and are preparing for external investment and M&A. They are looking for a CFO who can step in at board level, professionalise the finance function and lead the business through its next stage of growth.
The role
Reporting to the board, you will own the financial strategy and the numbers behind it:
- Lead financial strategy in line with the growth plan, including M&A and investment readiness (preparing to go to market, due diligence, acquisitions)
- Own budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, and present monthly board packs with clear insight on performance
- Work in close partnership with the existing Head of Finance, providing strategic direction while supporting the development of the wider finance team
- Lead the transformation of finance processes and systems, improving the accuracy of MI and core reporting
- Manage audit, compliance and financial risk, including FX exposure across multiple currencies
- Build relationships with investors, banks, auditors and other external stakeholders

About you

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience transforming a finance function
- International experience, with hands-on exposure to multi-currency and FX risk
- M&A experience, ideally raising funds, acquisitions or due diligence in a corporate or PE-backed setting
- Experience in a business of similar size and scale
- Working knowledge of Sage and comfortable with ERP systems
